QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an Automotive Technology course or related field.
- National Certificate Level II (NC II) in Automotive Servicing is required.
- At least two (2) years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair simple faults in automotive electrical, engine, suspension, and related systems (excluding hydro-pneumatic systems).
- Perform preventive maintenance services including engine oil and filter changes, transmission and differential oil replacement, and cooling system servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
- Service and maintain mechanical components such as wheel bearings, suspension parts, and related assemblies.
- Tighten engine and chassis bolts to specified torque settings using a torque wrench and service manual guidelines.
- Assist in the removal and installation of engines and major vehicle components requiring heavy lifting and careful handling to ensure safety and prevent damage.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness of the workshop, operate cleaning equipment when necessary, and perform other related duties as assigned under close supervision.
